Adult Beginner Pottery The beginner pottery class is an introduction to learning the basics of pottery. The 8-week course covers the basics of hand building and throwing with medium fire clay bodies and includes the fundamentals of form building, slab building, freestyle hand-building, throwing on the wheel, trimming, firing and glazing. It is a great way to dip your toe in the ceramic world and see if it's something you would enjoy. Cost: $250 plus the cost of clay ($30/bag of clay used) Includes: Eight 3-hour sessions with an experienced instructor & use of tools, equipment, and glazes in the studio. Maximum registrants: 8 |

Adult Intermediate Pottery The intermediate class is open to potters who already have some experience, have a solid foundation in throwing procedures, and would like to further develop their ceramic skills. The class will focus on each individual potters personal projects, goals and concerns. Cost: $250 plus the cost of clay ($30-35 per bag, depending on type selected) Includes: Eight 3-hour sessions with an experienced instructor, use of tools, equipment and glazes at the studio. Special Events/Workshops Our guild occasionally hosts guest potters for specialized workshops to share their unique techniques, and styles. The workshops are an opportunity for experienced potters to explore and develop specialized techniques and skills. For example: Raku firing, unique glazing techniques, specialized forms.
