Adult Intermediate Class
This class will run in the AFTERNOON from noon to 3. See dates below

Class will run if enough people register.


Our Adult Intermediate class is open to potters who already have some experience, 
have a solid foundation in throwing procedures, and would like to develop their ceramic skills. 


This class is designed to improve skills from basic bowls to functional ware worthy of every day use.
Concentration will be on lips, handles, lids, spouts, manipulation, decoration, etc.

Classes run Wednesdays from noon to 3:00
Starting January 29th to March 18th (2020)


The adult intermediate class is 8 sessions.  Cost is $200.-
This covers the instructors time, use of tools and glazes and your first 1/2 box of clay.


Maximum number of students is 8.

Once your registration form along with payment have been received, your registration will be confirmed and payment deposited ONLY if the class has space left. In the event the class if full, you will be notified and wait listed if you wish. Payment will NOT be deposited.

    Please read the course descriptions before filling out the form below to make sure you're signing up for the correct class.
    Please read the following regulations and check the box at the bottom if you agree:

    - The Ponoka Potters Guild and its instructors reserve the right to cancel any course due to insufficient registrations.  The minimum number of students to run a class is 8.

    - It is the student's responsibility to attend all classes.  There are no make-up class times if you miss a session.
    - If the instructor needs to cancel a class, s/he will add an extra session at the end of the course to make up for the lost time.

    - Pottery pieces which have not been signed or stamped will not be fired.
    - No outside clay is to be used for the class.
    - Additional clay can be purchased from the guild at $25 per 1/2 box.
    - All wheel and hand-built projects must be done in the studio.


    Fees and refunds:
    - Unless otherwise listed in the course description, the program fee for a course is $200.-
    - Requests for refunds must be made in writing prior to the program's start date.
               - a full refund will be provided if you withdraw at least one week before the course begins.
               - a 50% refund will be provided if you withdraw up to two weeks into the course.
               - if you withdraw from the course more than two weeks after it has started, there is no refund.
    - A $10 administration fee will be deducted for withdrawal from a course.

“The beginner pottery class is an introduction to learning the basics of pottery. In this course you will learn about hand building and throwing with medium fire clay bodies. You will learn learn the basics of form building, slab building and free style hand building.
You will also learn the fundamentals of throwing on the wheel, trimming, firing processes and glazing!
This is a great way to dip your toe into the ceramic/pottery world and see if it’s one thing you enjoy! The ultimate goal is to learn something , have fun and try something new! Results may vary in your abilities to create something but I guarantee  everyone will be able to make something they enjoy.” 

Because of the number of wheels available, classes are small,
so there's lots of opportunity for one-on-one instruction. 

Sessions are  evenings from 6:30 - 9:30, beginning January.
Dates: January 7th, 14th, 21st and 28th, February 4th, 11th and 18th

Adult beginner classes are $200.-
This covers the instructor's time, use of tools and glazes, and your first 1/2 box of clay.

Registration is first come first serve, and they fill up fast!
